Gabby Douglas Getting the Lifetime Biopic Treatment

Olympian gymnast Gabby Douglas might be only 17 years old, but apparently she's packed enough experience into her young life to warrant a Lifetime biopic.

Lifetime is working on "The Gabby Douglas Story," which will detail "the inspiring true story of the international gymnastics phenomenon, who overcame overwhelming odds to become the first African-American ever to be named Individual All-Round Champion in artistic gymnastics at the Olympics."

Imani Hakim ("Everybody Hates Chris") and Sydney Mikayla ("Whitney") have both been cast to play Douglas in the biopic, which is being produced by Sony Pictures Television. Douglas also will appear in the film, among a cast that also includes Regina King and S. Epatha Merkerson. Read More
