Review: Prayers for Bobby

This made-for-cable movie tells the true story of Mary Griffith ( Sigourney Weaver, in her TV-movie debut), a shy, conservative mom from a San Francisco suburb, who became an advocate for gay teenagers after her son Bobby (Ryan Kelley) threw himself off a highway bridge into the path of a truck. He was 20 when he committed suicide because he could not accept himself as gay. He knew his family and church never would.  Read more.
