Ten-Year Old Kwesi Boakye Stars in The Number One Box Office Film

Kwesi Boakye can do no bad! The ten-year-old star appears in the number one weekend box office hit, I Can Do Bad All By Myself, alongside Tyler Perry. The film hit theatres September 11, 2009 and brought in over $24 million.

With attention-getting performances from big-named actors and actresses such as Taraji P. Henson (2008 Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.), Gladys Knight, Mary J. Blige and Adam Rodriguez, Kwesi is adding this film to his already prominent acting resume.

Kwesi's character, Manny, is one of three children that have to live with their Aunt April, played by Taraji P. Henson, after their grand-mother disappears. Considered to be a difficult character to play, Kwesi said his character is "a very tough kid and he is a little rough around the edges with a very sharp tongue as he had to grow up pretty fast."
