Reese Witherspoon to Produce DreamWorks Pic 'Who Invited Her?'

Reese Witherspoon tossed up a wedding-themed comedy bouquet, and DreamWorks muscled in to catch it.

After a major bidding war that included Sony and Paramount, DreamWorks acquired Sascha Rothchild's comic pitch "Who Invited Her?," with Witherspoon set to produce as a potential starring vehicle. Studio paid mid-to-high six figures for the project that follows a woman who insists on tagging along on a guy's bachelor party weekend.

Rothchild will write the script, described as being in the spirit of "Bridesmaids."

Witherspoon will produce through her Type A Films shingle, while Gary Foster and Russ Krasnoff will produce through their Krasnoff Foster Entertainment banner. Duo previously teamed with DreamWorks on "The Soloist." Read More
