     Hi Brenda,

There seems to be tons of talk about schools like JRP right now in our forums.  It sure is a hot topic with lots of varying opinions :)

For some insight, I would suggest checking out this thread:

JRP is a franchise. There are some good ones and some not so good from what I hear.  Our experience was good. My daughter Madeline won a modeling scholarship through National American Miss and so she took one of their modeling classes. The class was very professional and had a well qualified instruction who was very good with the kids. They also offered weekend auditions with agencies to those students enrolled. I'm glad we didn't have to pay for it though ($1200 for ten one hour classes).  - Rick

My son attends JRP Boston.  It seems like any other franchise, some are run better than others. We have had a terrific experience. The classes are pricey, but we were not pushed to take any certain number of classes, and while our son has done well, we weren't made any promises about his future. Our instructors are wonderful. I know this is not the case at all JRP. I would reccomend you do your homework regarding which branch you are looking into.

     Best of luck.

    Re: John Robert Powers

Christine and Richard are correct - schools like John Robert Powers are franchised so no school is the same.  We are encouraging parents to report on the specific school they attended so that other parents can learn about the different schools themselves rather than just John Robert Powers as a whole.

I also encourage you to contact Ron Patterson through our site if you have questions about JRP.  I'm sure he'd also like to hear about any positive or negative experiences you had at your particular franchised JRP school.
