Hi,
My son was scheduled to come out to LA in Sept. after meeting with an agency that signed him across the board for all areas, theatrical, commercial etc.
However, he has a manager as well, who has him doing auditions in NY. After speaking with the LA agency his manager felt with the looming SAG issues it may be worth waiting until Jan (pilot season) to bring him out to LA. She felt it was so slow now that it wouldn't be worth the expense and school issues to bring him out in Sept. I spoke with the LA agency, they agree that it is slow and hopefully pilot season may come early and they don't expect movement on the strike front until Sept anyway. They stated that if thing pick up they want him out earlier than Jan.They are submitting him for roles now, and if need be we can send out a tape if a casting director wants a closer look at him.
Any thoughts? I want to make sure we are doing the right thing.
